Propolis is a product of the a bees interaction with sap producing evergreen trees and beeswax that bees use to build their hive. For thousands of years this highly nutritious liquid has been used for it's medicinal properties. Ancient Egyptians used it to embalm mummies, while Assyrians used it to facilitate wound healing and to fight infections.
The main benefits of propolis are in it's antixodent properties. In addition to this it has: anti-bacterial, antiviral, antifungal and anti-inflammatory effects.
This product is not recommended if you have an allergy to bees or honey. It can also induce an allergy if taken for a long time.
